Meadowsweet’s bitter astringency comes partially from its salicilin content. It posses the same active ingredient as aspirin, but can actually soothe the stomach instead. It regulates acidity and rectifies alkalinity. Great for sour stomach and belching, nausea, and bile before or after meals. Great for removing uric acid build up in the muscles, joints, and blood contributing to arthritis, gout, or symptoms of gravel in the kidneys and bladder. Also useful for fevers.
